Slidewell ("Slidewell", "we", "us", "our") is a software service made available through the Slidewell website and app (the "Service"). Slidewell is operated from Greece. A postal address is available on request by emailing slidewellapp@gmail.com. You can reach us at any time at slidewellapp@gmail.com.
By creating an account, ticking the acceptance box at sign-up, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Medical Disclaimer, which are all incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. You confirm that you are using the Service in a professional or business capacity and that you have, or have access to, the professional knowledge needed to evaluate the health and scientific content the Service produces. The Service is not intended for, and must not be used by, members of the public seeking medical guidance.
Slidewell helps creators in the health, wellness and longevity space produce Instagram carousels. You enter a topic and select design and content building blocks; the Service searches PubMed (the U.S. National Library of Medicine's database), retrieves metadata and abstracts from real published studies, and uses an AI model to draft carousel copy grounded in those abstracts. The Service then assembles the carousel using one of our design templates and lets you reorder or remove blocks and export the result as PNG or PDF.
The output is a draft research summary intended for educational content. It is a starting point that you review, correct and approve — not a finished, verified, publication-ready medical statement.
AI transparency. Carousel text is generated by an artificial-intelligence system. In line with our transparency obligations (including Article 50 of the EU AI Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), we make clear to you that the content is AI-generated. When you publish Slidewell output to your own audience, you are the "deployer" of that content and you are responsible for any disclosure to your audience that may be required, including indicating where appropriate that content is AI-assisted.
Citations are real, but the surrounding prose is AI-written. We build citation strings server-side directly from PubMed metadata, and we screen out studies that PubMed has marked as retracted or subject to an expression of concern. We design the system so the AI cannot invent a citation or a PMID. However, AI systems can still misread, oversimplify or misstate findings. We do not warrant that every sentence accurately reflects the underlying study, that the cited study is the most appropriate or current source, or that the content is free of error. You must verify the content against the cited sources before relying on or publishing it.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at slidewellapp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
Plans. We offer a free plan and paid subscription plans. The free plan provides a limited number of carousels per month, and exports on the free plan carry a "Made with Slidewell" watermark. Paid plans provide a monthly allowance of carousel generations ("credits") and watermark-free exports. Current plan names, allowances and prices are shown on our pricing page and may change as described below.
Credits. Credits refresh at the start of each billing period and do not roll over unless we state otherwise. A credit is consumed when a carousel is successfully generated; a generation that fails should not consume a credit. We may apply a finite cap to any plan described as high-volume to protect the Service against abuse.
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. All prices are in euros (EUR) and, where applicable, are exclusive of or inclusive of VAT as indicated at checkout. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.
Renewal and cancellation. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through your account or billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you retain access until then. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law or under section 7.
Price changes. We may change prices or plan features. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any change that affects your existing subscription, and the change will take effect from your next renewal. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Launch / promotional pricing. From time to time we may offer founding-member or promotional prices. Any such price is the actual price you pay for the stated period; it is not a discount against a higher price we have previously charged. When a promotional period ends, the standard price applies at your next renewal, with notice.
Referrals. Every account has a referral code. If someone uses your code when they start a paid plan, you and they each receive 10 bonus carousels, added once their first payment has been taken. Nothing is awarded for a sign-up alone, and you cannot use your own code. Bonus carousels are added to your current balance, carry no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and do not extend the length of a plan. If the subscription that triggered a bonus is refunded, charged back, or cancelled within its first billing period, we may remove bonus carousels that have not been used. We may change or end the referral programme at any time; codes already used are honoured. Referrals must be genuine — creating accounts to award yourself bonuses, or promoting your code through spam or paid placement misrepresenting Slidewell, is a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Slidewell is a digital service supplied immediately. By subscribing and generating your first carousel, you expressly request that we begin providing the Service immediately and you acknowledge that, once we have begun and the service is fully performed for that period, you lose your right of withdrawal for that period to the extent permitted by law. This does not affect your statutory rights where the Service is faulty. Many users contract with us in a business capacity, in which case the consumer withdrawal right does not apply.
We may offer a custom design service in which we create a carousel design unique to your brand following a consultation (for example, a video call). Any one-off design fee, scope and timeline will be agreed with you separately before work begins and is non-refundable once design work has started, except where required by law. A custom design is made available only within your own account. Continued generation against a custom design requires an active subscription on a plan you select.
This section is central to these Terms. By using the Service you agree that:
Our property. The Service, including the software, design templates, look and feel, and our trade marks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and templates to create carousels during your subscription, subject to these Terms.
Your carousels. As between you and us, you own the carousels you generate and may use them for your own commercial and editorial purposes, subject to these Terms, the rights of the original study authors and publishers, and applicable copyright law (you are responsible for how you reuse third-party study content). Citation text and PMIDs are factual references to third-party works and are not owned by us. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the templates themselves, or the Service, as a competing product.
Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Breaching it may lead to suspension or termination.
The Service relies on third parties including PubMed / NCBI (study data), Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Supabase and Netlify (hosting and infrastructure), and email and authentication providers. Your use of the Service involves data being processed by these providers as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or content of third-party services, and their own terms may apply.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content it produces are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any content is accurate, current, complete or suitable for your or your audience's circumstances. Nothing in this section limits warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, or for any harm arising from content you create, publish or rely on; and (b) our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100.
Because you are responsible for verifying and approving content before publication, we are not liable for the consequences of content you choose to publish.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, your misuse of the Service, or content you publish using the Service — including any claim that your published content was inaccurate, misleading, infringing, or presented as medical advice.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. We will give notice where reasonable. On termination, your licence to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law) continue to apply.
We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will give reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app) before it takes effect. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer-law provisions of the country where you live. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the business. These Terms, together with the policies referenced above, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
